This is the most patriotic-looking quilt I have ever sewn so I thought it was an appropriate photo for this day. It was a quilt of the month that was featured a few years ago through Keepsake Quilting and I made it for our son. It also has the distinction of being the quilt that I spent the most time “un-sewing”. Before this quilt I used to be afraid of intricate piecing, but with a block-a-month pace I was determined to learn how to get those points to line up correctly (at least theoretically), hence the “un-sewing”. There is nothing like a good summer project!
