Aurifil Giveaway

Posted on

I hope everyone had happy, healthy holidays.

Let’s start off the New Year in a fun way with a giveaway, sponsored by Aurifil threads!  Alex Veronelli, Product Manager for Aurifil, sent me an assortment of threads to giveaway, so I’ll be giving away three bundles this time and another three next month.  Sound good?  (Incidentally, Alex just gave an interview about Aurifil threads over at Jolly Jabber – make sure to check it out.  Did you know that Aurifil threads are produced in an environmentally friendly way?)

To enter please leave comment on this post telling me about some quilty-related item that you are excited about creating this year or some product or new fabric line that you can’t wait to use.  (Please become a follower if you aren’t already.)  Don’t forget to leave me a way to contact you should you win!

The deadline is this Friday, January 6th, at midnight.

Happy New Year with lots of sewing!

  1. I would LOVE to try some Aurifil thread!

  2. Hi Amanda,
I read Alex's Jolly Jabber Interview. Aurifil sounds like a quilters dream come true. I am working on a King Size Quilt for my sister in law and will be Free Motion Quilting it. This thread would be wonderful to work with! Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. Oh… this year I am excited about two projects I want to realize… first a scrap quilt with leftovers from other fabrics to reduce my stash (at least i want to start it, but I already have a lot of little fabric pieces, all 6×6 cm… and got a lot of little fabric pieces as gifts from friends too)… and second I participate in the crazy quilt journal project 2012… it is easier for me to start / work with other peoples and "social deadlines" than alone…

So for both projects the thread would be a great ad! 🙂

  4. I'm excited to make an i-spy quilt for my little guy, along with whatever other sewing projects I can squeeze in 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I just tried Aurifil for the first time on a Christmas quilt. I did some heavy free motion quilting and it was fabulous to work with. I want to explore the possibilities with all the different weights and types of thread. Thanks so much for great blog and the giveaway.

  6. I have fallen in love with Jane Dixon's Primitiva Collection, and would love to make a lap quilt with it. I love Aurifil thread for all my peicing work.

  14. I'm excited to make an I-spy quilt for my son. I'm also into mug rugs right now, and want to try some new techniques, such as sketchy applique – where you use the black thread to stick down your shapes.

  15. This would be so wonderful to try Aurufil; so many bloggers seem to love it. Thank you for the opportunity. I am super excited to finish my brother's quilt that was supposed to be finished by Christmas – old lousy sewing machine finally broke, but as of yesterday, I have a new wonderful machine. So, I can't wait to get started. Quilt is a design by Weeks and Ringle. Lots of project ideas after that! Oh, and I am now a follower – thanks for the time you put into blogging. 🙂

  16. My 2012 goals are to continue to break in my FMQ foot. 🙂 But also to join in a couple of QAL as well as break into the fabric that I got for Christmas…and perfect timing…I was just looking into buying some Aurifil thread this morning…maybe I'll get lucky! Happy New Year…

It is almost lint-free and is so fine my bobbin lasts a long time.
